WHERE GOD WEEPS

This book is written by Fr. Werenfried van Straaten, a Dutch Norbertine whose name is synonymous to warrior for peace and who has been called by hundreds of thousands of admirers and recipients of his generosity.  He was an inspiring priest.

This is the story of the spiritual crusade of a man with nothing but an old hat for begging and a heart full of love who has begged and then given away 2 billion in the past forty years.

He began when he saw the great distress suffered by the refugees returning to Germany after World War II and his heart went out to them and to the church behind the Iron Curtain. Since then, he has spread his generosity to every continent through Aid to the Church in Need. This book is the story of the sufferings he has encountered as he has visited the Church in Europe and Asia, Latin America and Africa and behind the Iron Curtain--of the generosity of the people who met and helped him.

The book talks about the Catholic Church amidst persecution, communism and the spiritual work of a priest who dedicated himself in the service of God.
