LATIN MASS

The Latin Mass or the Latin Tridentine Mass, also known as the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite, is the traditional Roman Catholic liturgy codified in 1570. It is celebrated almost exclusively in Ecclesiastical Latin, with the priest facing the altar and the congregation following along in personal prayer.
