TRADITION AND SANITY

The focus of the “postconciliar exiles” to recover the Catholic tradition piece by piece, word by word, rite by rite, devotion by devotion is highlighted in this book.  The author, Peter Kwasniewski, brings together a round-table discussion, interviews, and imaginary dialogues exploring the depths and shallows of Catholic liturgy, the lyricism of sacred music (or the lack thereof), the state of the Church as it suffers attack from without and confusion from within.  He highlights the revival of traditional beliefs and practices in younger generations, which by itself brings hope.  It reinforces the words of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, “I will build a Church for which the gates of hell cannot prevail.”
