This book is written by Archbishop William Bernard Ullathorne. It is a beautiful narrative to our Savior’s holy Mother. It was written in the very same year that Pope Pius IX defined the dogma of Our Lady s Immaculate Conception. The book begins with all the great works on Our Lady, with her exalted office and dignity. Archbishop Ullathorne educates the reader that he or she might see the congruity, even the necessity, of Mary s divine prerogative in the eternal plan of redemption, and to see the Immaculata as the fulfillment of the highest possible degree of excellence God could establish in a creature. Through her, it perfects the crowning glory in the gradation of all being outside of God. Archbishop Ullathorne is masterful in his explanation of Mary’s royal relationship with the angels as well as men, for she it was who gave the Incarnate God the flesh and blood by means of which all the elect achieved their salvation. It is a splendid book to read, share to a friend or give to someone to know the stupendous treasure of the Catholic faith, the Blessed Virgin Mary.
