There are two parts or volumes in this book, that is, Ecumenism in the Liturgical Reform and The Problem of the Liturgical Reform.

The first part of the book is Ecumenism in the Liturgical Reform.  It tackles the concept of ecumenism and its influence in Vatican II’s liturgical reforms and the formation of the New Mass.  Using primary sources, it uncovers the intent of the liturgical reformers to change the Catholic worship to make it more acceptable to non-Catholics, especially the protestant believers.

This book is important in understanding the protestant hegemony in Catholic worship.  The second part of the book is The Problem of the Liturgical Reform, the dogmatic analysis of the Novus Ordo Missae of Pope Paul VI as raised by the SSPX to John Paul II in 2001.

The book raises three fundamental issues of the liturgical reform of Catholic worship, namely, the new mass is a departure from the Catholic tradition, it is a new theology particularly on the subjects of sin and redemption, and as the new mass is a new theology it is considered as a denigration of the Catholic doctrine.
