DEVOTION TO THE HOLY FACE

The devotion to the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ and particularly to His Holy Face is one of the oldest in Catholic Tradition.

This devotion was practiced by great saints like St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Augustine of Hippo, St. Gertrude the Great, St. Mechtilde, St. Edmund, and St. Bonaventure.

The devotion to the Holy Face is one of the most powerful of Catholic devotions. Many miracles are associated with the Holy Face, including the Shroud of Turin and the Veil of Veronica.

Beginning in 1844, Our Lord appeared to Sr. Mary of St. Peter and expressed His desire that world should know and practice this devotion in reparation for man's blasphemy against God. Through the efforts of Sr. Mary of St. Peter, Venerable Leo DuPont, and countless others, this devotion has become better known and more frequently practiced. 

However, many still fail to make reparation to the Holy Face and don’t obtain the many graces that come from this spiritual weapon.
